Summer Camps - Where kids WANT to be this summer!
Our summer camp programs are fast paced, and Christ centred. Supervision of campers is consistent throughout the day with daily worship and chapel sessions, lots of planned activities, recreation and free time. Nutritious meals of kid-friendly food are served in our beautiful dining hall.

Schedules
Camps are arranged to provide maximum coverage of ages and integration of experiences for all campers and their families. You can choose to attend a single week long camp session or attend multiple sessions consecutively.

We have a large assortment of activities that campers can sign up to become involved in throughout the week. There is basic to advanced instruction to ensure a safe and all has fun time.
Activity / instruction periods range from 45 minutes to an hour in length. The activities include:

Off site Adventures
With each camp session, special outings are planned. Meals in the dining hall might become a beach barbeque. Campers may travel on the lake to swim under the spray of a fresh waterfall. Or maybe they will canoe over to a rocky outcrop to have an adventurous jump into the waters below. Overnight camp outs are also planned for most camp programs.

Themes
Each week of our camp program has a new theme. These themes are integrated with the meals, worship and chapel times as well as with the activities and games.
I Dare You!
July 11 to 17, 2010 - Ages 9 - 14
Whether you are an adrenaline seeker that strives to follow through on every dare, or you are the one who usually shares the truth in a game of Truth or Dare, we ahve to face it - we are all placed in situations that take us far beyond our comfort levels. Are we meant to live life on the wild side? Throughout the week we will explore the truths that the Bible dares us to live our lives by and the excitment that it can bring when we follow through in accepting those truths.
Believe it or Not...
July 17 to 24, 2010 - Ages 7 - 12
Are Do you always believe the stories that your friends tell you about their summer adventures. Are the things you see on TV fake or really beleiveable? With the advancements in technology, almost everything that we see in this day and age appears to be real. But do we really have to see something to beleive that it is true? The Bible is pretty old and has some really outrageous stories in it that are sometimes hard to beleive. This week - it’s up to you to decide whether you believe it or not...
We Will Rock You!
July 25 to 30, 2010 - Ages 7 - 12
Wh How cool would it be if your best friend was a rock star!? Sign up for this week and an amazing oportunity to find a friend who will completely rock your socks off!! While having an awsome time learning new skills and meeting new friends, you will also learn how Jesus can be the rock for your life. To Be or Not To Be...
August 2 to 7, 2010 - Ages 9 - 14
HShakespeare may not alwys make sense, but when we read the famous line To be or not to be..., it might just get us wondering about how that applies to us in the world today. What is the real meaning of life? Are we able to face the world on our own, or is there an easier and more reliable way to get through life? We need to take action and be the person that we are called to be in Jesus Christ. Making the decision - To be or not to be may be the most important thing you ever do. Join us and find out...
The JAMES Bond
August 8 to 14, 2010 - Ages 14 - 17
Ever Do you wish you could own a car like James Bond? Do you ever want to solve all of the mysteries that the world has to offer? Starring as an undercover spy, you will be able to discover the truths that the disciple James presents in the Bible in order for you to find the bond that Jesus offers to you and everyone else. This week you will have the opportunity to be a front line agent with the reward of something that is even better than Bond’s car... Come ready for a week that will let you know how to live a life where Tomorrow Never Dies!
Family Camp! A Time to Remember....

Want some QUALITY time to spend with your family all together? Whoever or whatever makes up your family – bring them all to camp. Affordable with a unique program geared specifically to families with fun for everyone. (Those bringing their own accomodations [tents / trailers] will receive a discount of 20%).
Celebration Weekend Let Creation Sing!
July 30 to August 2, 2010 - All ages
Come as a group, an individual, or a family - but do come! This is THE BEST way to spend the August long weekend in Ontario. Go crazy and have some classic camp fun, or just relax in the most beautiful setting in Muskoka. Enjoy top notch Bible teaching. It’s your weekend - your way. It just won’t be the same without you... LIT ’10
July 4 to 30, 2010 - Ages 15 to 17
Four weeks that will change you from the inside out... Take time this summer to develop and hone your leadership skills in a unique and challenging program that intertwines engaging teaching with daily practical personal challenges. This premiere program is a priority for youth wanting to discover more about themselves and their own potential for leadership.
Our Leader-In-Training (LIT) Program is designed as an ideal transition between being a camper and becoming a staff member. The program emphasizes the development of Christian and leadership skills in an adventure-learning context. It offers a balance of formal training, mentoring and practical hands-on experience.
Leadership for tomorrow… I want to give back to Camp Kwasind, everything that Kwasind gave to me.”

Prices
Everyone goes to camp. Prices for each camp session depend on the length of the camp session, the instructor/supervisor to camper ratio, and special expenses that might be associated with a specific program.

Family maximum fees apply for all camps. Please enquire with the camp for information regarding this.
Bussing from Toronto or Barrie is available for all Encompass and Extreme / Explosion camps! Save time, gas and the environment! Costs are only $55 one way or $85 return.
There is a stay-over program available for campers between Encompass A & B, B & C and Encompass D & Extreme for campers registered for consecutive camp sessions. The fee for this is $75.
All camp fees are subject to a $75 non-refundable deposit.
Cancellation of a registration will result in the forfeit of the deposit amount. Cancellations made within three weeks of the beginning of a camp session are subject to a fee of 50% of the total camp fee. Cancellations made within one week of the beginning of a camp session are subject to the payment of the full camp fee.
On-line registrations are subject to a service fee of 3% for processing.
Our tuck shop on the grounds is available for campers to purchase sweets during the week.
Clothing list for camp / what to bring to camp
- Sleeping bag or bedding for a single bed
- Pillow
- Fuzzy friend (optional)
- Shorts
- Long pants - jeans / cotton pants / track pants
- T-Shirts and long sleeved shirts (no inappropriate graphics please)
- Warm sweater or sweatshirt
- Bathing suit - swimming shorts for boys and 1-piece swimsuit for girls
- Underwear - please note that clothing must cover undergarments on the top and bottom for both male and females
- Socks
- Shoes - closed toed running shoes (& sandals)
- Towels (bathing & beach)
- Toiletries including toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, insect repellent, sunscreen, deodorant
- Required medication (all medication must labelled with your child’s name and turned into the nurse upon arrival)
- Jacket
- Bible
- Rainwear
- Hat
- Water bottle - recommended
Please label all of your child’s clothing and items.
What NOT to bring to camp
- Cellular phones
- Music or personal electronic devices
- Valuables -whether monetary or sentimental
- Food items
- Knives or nasty things
- Matches or lighters
